Jake Gradwohl

Equity Trader

Jake Gradwohl joined Ferguson Wellman in 2020 and serves as an equity trader. In his role, he is responsible for trading equities across a variety of individually managed taxable, tax-exempt, individual and institutional accounts. Jake is a shareholder of the firm.

Prior to joining our trading team, Jake served the firm as a client relationship associate and, before that, was an intern at our company. He earned his B.S. in finance from Oregon State University. Jake is a candidate in the CFA program and is studying to obtain the Charter - he passed the first CFA examination in May 2024.

In his free time, he enjoys skiing, rock climbing, mountain biking and hiking.

This week, both he and investors anxiously awaited the release of several related reports, hoping to gain a better understanding of the current state of the labor market and its recent shifts.

Falling Snow, Rising Inflation

This week, Portland residents braved the cold to venture outside and watch snow blanket the city. In contrast, January's inflation data was seemingly the opposite, rising higher month-over-month and year-over-year.
