Josh Frankel, CFP®, is executive vice president for West Bearing Investments, a division of Ferguson Wellman. Frankel is a portfolio manager with individual and institutional clients concentrated in Portland, Vancouver, Eugene, Bend, Spokane, Medford and various cities in California. Frankel possesses a range of professional experiences that enable him to provide a high level of client service and guidance on investment management and planning. As a Certified Financial Planner, Frankel follows a disciplined process to fully understand his clients’ goals to provide the best possible investment counsel.
Prior to joining West Bearing, Frankel worked as a financial advisor and retirement planning specialist for Merrill Lynch. He also gained experience in marketing and business development through his work at General Motors R*Works and EJ Gallo Winery after college. He earned his M.B.A. and B.S. degrees from the University of Oregon. While completing his undergraduate degree, he played football for the Ducks from 1996-2000.
Frankel currently serves as a board member of New Avenues for Youth and as the vice chair and executive committee member of the Oregon Jewish Community Foundation. Frankel is past chair of both the Greater Portland Hillel and the Oregon Club of Portland. He lives in Southwest Portland with his wife, Amy, and their three children. Frankel enjoys running, mountain biking, and golf in his spare time.
