Dean Dordevic is a principal of the firm and portfolio manager with clients concentrated in Oregon, California, Ohio and New York. Prior to joining Ferguson Wellman, he worked for Kidder Peabody Asset Management and E.F. Hutton & Co. in New York City. Dean is a principal shareholder of the firm.
From 1994 to 2022, Dean served on our board of directors when the company experienced significant growth. He was instrumental in establishing and managing our alternative investment strategies for clients. In addition to his investment acumen, Dean is a colorful writer who has consistently contributed to our quarterly Market Letter.
Born and raised in New York, Dean earned his B.A. in finance from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. He is a member of the New York Society of Securities Analysts and the Chartered Financial Analysts Society of Portland. He is a board member and finance committee member of Thomas Edison High School, and a previous board member of the Portland Japanese Garden, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the Citizens Crime Commission.
Dean enjoys tennis, boating, flying and traveling with his family.
