Michael Garcia

Chief Technology Officer

Michael Garcia joined the firm in 2016 and serves as chief technology officer for Ferguson Wellman and West Bearing Investments. He is responsible for strategic planning and implementation of all information systems and related hardware, integration of all existing and new operation systems and management of all technology vendor relationships. Michael is also a shareholder of the firm.

Previously, Michael worked as the communications director for a family office and its various business ventures. He was also the principal and owner of a private technology consulting company that provided data analytics and web services for various financial companies. He holds a B.A. in English from Oregon State University and has his Series 7 and 63 licenses from FINRA.

Michael serves on the Charles Schwab Technology, Operations and Service Advisory Board, one of 23 national representatives from RIAs across the country. Additionally, he currently serves on the technology committee for the Oregon Historical Society.

Michael lives in Northwest Portland with his wife, Michelle, and enjoys spending time with his family, listening to music and staying up-to-date with the latest in tech gadgetry in his free time.
