Equity Research and Portfolio Management

Alex Harding, CFA, joined Ferguson Wellman in 2017 and serves as vice president of equity research and portfolio management. Alex is the firm’s global financials analyst and a member of the firm’s equity team. In his role he supports the investment team researching various sector activity, including the financials sector, and managing the tax-efficient trading overlay for our strategies. Alex works with clients concentrated in Portland and throughout Washington, Oregon and Colorado. He is also a shareholder of the firm.

Prior to joining Ferguson Wellman, Alex worked as a platform specialist for tru Independence and for Martin Capital Partners in an operations and client service role. He earned his B.S. in business administration from the University of Oregon. Alex currently serves on the Ambassador Board for First Tee - Greater Portland.   

In his spare time, he and his wife and daughter enjoy golfing, skiing and supporting Duck athletics.
