Joe Herrle, CFA, CAIA, is senior vice president of alternative asset research and a portfolio manager at Ferguson Wellman in Portland, Oregon, where he has worked since 2021. He holds the CFA® (Chartered Financial Analyst®) and CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) designations and serves as an analyst and member of the firm’s investment team. Herrle leads the firm’s alternative assets strategy and manages the utilities public equity sector. He works with clients concentrated in Portland and throughout Oregon. He also serves as co-chair of the firm’s internship program and is a shareholder of the firm.
Prior to joining Ferguson Wellman, Joe spent over a decade in San Francisco working for a family office and a multi-asset manager, where he specialized in private company valuations, manager due diligence, and alternative asset portfolio construction. In his time in the Bay Area, he consulted on and executed several private company and real estate transactions.
