In 2023, the Oregon senate passed Senate Bill 3 (SB 3), which requires students to complete one half-credit of personal financial education and one half-credit of higher education and career path skills. In celebration of April being Financial Literacy Month, our colleague, Jason Norris, CFA, joined KOIN AM Extra’s Emily Burris and Mia Villanueva to discuss the impact of SB 3 and why families should prioritize financial literacy.
