About the Position
Ferguson Wellman is seeking interns for the summer of 2027. This is an in-person role based in our Portland, Oregon, office. Interns will complete projects and present their results to the firm. Additionally, interns will have the opportunity to work with many departments and team members, gaining a broad introduction to all facets of Ferguson Wellman’s investment and wealth management business.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented, focused, and able to balance multiple tasks and deadlines
• Passion for investing and eagerness to learn about financial markets and wealth management
• At least two years of college completed and currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or a related field
• Proven academic excellence
• Extracurricular involvement and leadership experience preferred
• Exceptional computer skills; spreadsheet proficiency preferred
• Ability to work in a team environment, adapt to frequent task changes, and work well with a variety of personalities

Schedule and Hours
The internship generally runs for three consecutive months, with start and end dates set around each intern’s academic calendar. Interns will work 30 to 40 hours per week. Exact hours will depend on project needs and each intern’s circumstances.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly wage is $27. Total compensation includes the hourly wage, a profit-sharing contribution (up to 3% of earnings), and a parking allowance.
