Nathan Ayotte, CFP®, is principal at Ferguson Wellman with more than 20 years of industry experience. He joined the firm in 2008 and works with both individual and institutional clients primarily in Oregon, Washington and California. Nathan is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional (CFP®) and adheres to a disciplined approach and process to fully understand his clients’ goals and provide the best financial counsel. Nathan is a member of the management team and oversees the firm’s staff, technology and operations departments. Additionally, he is a member of the wealth management team, where he serves as a resource for wealth planning and investment management, and a shareholder of the firm.
Nathan previously worked as a manager for Scottrade’s Park Avenue office in New York City and as an equity trader at Bidwell & Company in Portland. Nathan grew up in Portland and graduated from the University of Oregon with a B.S in psychology. Nathan is a member of the Chartered Financial Analysts Society of Portland and currently serves as board member of Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. He recently served as president of the Multnomah Athletic Club and was recognized in 2012 by the Portland Business Journal as one of Portland’s “Forty Under 40.”
Nathan lives in Southwest Portland with his wife, Elizabeth, and their two daughters. He enjoys traveling and discovering new restaurants in his free time.
