He is a director of the firm and a principal shareholder and serves institutional and individual clients throughout the west. In 1991, George joined the firm following a career with Qualivest Capital Management in Portland, Oregon as a vice president and portfolio manager. Raised in Eugene, he graduated with honors from the University of Oregon, where he received both a B.S. in management and an M.B.A. in finance.\r\n\r\nGeorge is a member and past president of the [Chartered Financial Analysts Society of Portland](https://www.cfasociety.org/portland/home) and a past director and past board chair of the [Classic Wines Auction.](https://www.classicwinesauction.com/home) He also serves on the boards of University of Oregon’s Portland Council and the [Cascade Pacific Council of the Boy Scouts](https://cpcscouting.org/).
